HackForChange Kickoff Meetup

Center for Technology and Social Change (CTSC) is proud to host our first event in partnership with IIIT Hyderabad, and we invite social entrepreneurs and technologists to join us and be a part of an open discussion on using technology to drive social change.

In our Kickoff Meetup, we will be discussing important issues in Open Governance, Civic Engagement, and Social Empowerment through Open Source Tools and Data for social good.

Agenda for this meetup:

We will feature talks by:

  • Rakesh Dubbudu, Founder of Factly and expert in Open Data/Information on key challenges in the area and how technologists can help.
  • Vineel Reddy, Founder and CEO of Collab House and Community Lead for Mozilla Foundation, Chapter Director of Startup Grind among others on community driven development.

As well as discuss:

  • Hack for Change a platform for Hackathons, Meetups, and symposiums driven by the technology community in Hyderabad.
  • Challenges and Opportunities in the focus areas of Open Governance, Civic Engagement, and Social Empowerment
  • Ideas on how technology can improve priority areas through Campaigns, Tools and Public Policy Research and Recommendations.
  • Open Data and Data Science for Social Good.
  • How Students and Professionals can contribute by building Open Source Tools as CTSC Developer Corps.
